In the 1969 Spaghetti western “Bullets Over Dallas”
starring Carlos Quiney there’s a scene in the jail and on the wall, you can
clearly see a wanted poster for Guy Calloway (Jose Terron), the famous outlaw
that Colonel Mortimer (Lee Van Cleef) goes after in Tucumcari. The poster in
“Bullets Over Dallas” shows a picture of Tuco (Eli Wallach) in 1966’s “The
Good, the Bad and the Ugly”.

screen capture.]
I remember those two "Dollars" movies. I'll never forget those lines that were said. The one scene where the ticket master tells Colonel Mortimer about Guy Callaway is from "For A Few Dollars More". It goes a little something like this. "Guy passed by here in person and added on those two zeros. He was spittin' mad when he saw what they was offerin' and he wasn't flattered. He said, 'A measly thousand bucks for me is much too little. I'm worth a lot more than that.' That's right, he said that. And then he added the zeros on the thousand. Nobody has been brave enough to go up against that hombre. At least, it's BEEN that way till now." And the other one is from, "The Good, The Bad, And The Ugly". That's where Tuco says, "When you have to shoot, shoot. Don't talk." Great films, great quotes. We need more Westerns these days. Because let's face it. I've had enough of "Avatar".
