A man wanders around Texas at the end of 1800s. His name is Django and he is looking for revenge. The plot of the cult directed by Sergio Corbucci in 1966 is the backdrop to the serial reinterpretation of Sky and CANAL+, exclusively on Sky and NOW from 17 February.

Created and written by Leonardo Fasoli and Maddalena Ravagli, Django is an Italian-French co-production, a collaboration between Cattleya and Atlantique Productions (part of Mediawan).

The series premiered at the Rome Film Fest 2022 (read the article).

The ten episodes are directed by Francesca Comencini, head of artistic direction, David Evans (Downton Abbey) and Enrico Maria Artale (Romulus).

The legendary protagonist guides the viewer in a classic western adventure, a genre here honored and revised. The sinister secrets of New Babylon, whose founder is preparing to marry Django's daughter, animate the intentions of the man, eager for revenge and looking for a second chance.

To give face and body to the character is Matthias Schoenaerts, recently appeared in Amsterdam by David O. Russell. At his side, Nicholas Pinnock, the visionary founder of the city joined by Django, and Lisa Vicari, in the role of his daughter.

The cast also includes Noomi Rapace, Jyuddah Jaymes, Benny O. Arthur, Eric Kole and Tom Austen.
