These daily posts will cover little known actors or people that have appeared in more recent films and TV series. Various degrees of information that I was able to find will be gven and anything that you can add would be appreciated.
Umberto Addaggi was born in Rome, Italy in 1944. He was trained as a still photographer. After immigrating to South Africa in the late sixties, he gradually became part of the film industry including TV, features and documentaries. Parallel to this, his sculptures and wood carvings gradually developed. Umberto produces relief panels in wood, painted in ritualistic motifs. His work reflects the bridge between two cultures African and European, without either influence being allowed to dominate his work. Umberto has exhibited in the U.S.A. in 1998 and 1999 and continues to exhibit in South Africa.
