We continue our search for filming locations for “The Mercenary”. While Paco and Columba begin to make love, General Garcia attacks the town with an aerial bomb and cannon fire. Curly sits patiently on his horse and watches the opening attack. Columba asks Paco what the explosions are, and he says they are fireworks celebrating their wedding. Several of Paco’s men alert him and tell him they are under attack. Paco runs to the cell where Kowalski is bound and imprisoned. Paco frees Sergei and tells him he will give him his money back plus ten thousand. Sergei knocks him down runs out and locks Paco in the cell behind him. He grabs a horse bids good bye to Paco and rides off.
This scene was filmed at Nuevo Baztán, Madrid, Spain. This location was used in several Spaghetti westerns including, "The Genius", "The Hills Run Red", "Return of the Magnificent 7", Texas, Adios" to mention a few.
