We posted some time ago the identity of the actor who portrayed ‘Half-Soldier’ in 1966’s “The Good, the Bad and the Ugly” as Alfonso Veady. Further research produced the fact he has also appeared the year before in the 1965 Spaghetti western “Dos pistolas gemelas” (aka Vengeance Ranch) where he’s seen as a saloon patron. In the meantime, British author Howard Hughes made the discovery this past week that Alfonso appeared as in 1964’s “I cento cavalieri” (aka The 100 Horsemen, aka Son of El Cid”). Veady lost his legs during the Spanish Civil War. It was mistakenly said he lost his legs in WWII.
