Who Are Those Composers ~ Gian Franco Reverberi

Gian Franco Giacomo Reverberi was born in Genoa, Liguria, Italy on December 12, 1934. He is the older brother of composer Gian Piero Reverberi [1939- ].

Gianfranco was known as one of the early Italian Rock Musicians. He drifted into film composing in the late 1960s for such films as “Soldati e capelloni” (1967), “A Black Veil for Lisa” and “Chimera” both 1968, “!Viva America!” and “Venus in Furs” both 1969, “La ragazza del prete” (1970), “Black Turin” (1972), “Black Nagic Rites” (1973), “Porno Squad” (1979). He also composed scores with Enzo Jannaxxi and Giorgio Gaber.

Gianfranco worked with his brother Gian Piero on the Euro-western “Viva Django” (1967) starring Terence Hill and Horst Frank. The main musical track was used as the main theme for Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy” in 2006.
