American producer, director, writer, film and TV actor
Luke Perry died March 4, 2019 at St. Joseph's Hospital in Burbank, California,
from complications of a stroke he suffered last week. He was 52. Born Coy Luther
Perry III in Mansfield, Ohio on October
11, 1966. Luke had a prolific acting career on TV and in movies -- getting his
start in the early '80s -- and became a household name on '90210.' After that,
his career exploded. Most recently he's had a starring role as Archie's dad on
CW's hit show, "Riverdale." Perry also filmed a role in Quentin
Tarantino's upcoming Charles Manson movie, "Once Upon a Time in
Hollywood." He appeared in a number of TV westerns including two
Euro-westerns: “Johnson County War” 2002 as Harry Hammett and was a voice actor
on the 1997-1998 animated TV series ‘The Legend of Calamity Jane’.
