RIP Jacques Bodoin


French actor and singer Jacques Bodoin died in Dieulefit, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France on March 8, 2019 only 18 days before his 98th birthday. Born Jacques Louis Maurice Bodoin in Dieulefit, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France on March 26, 1921 Bodoin was famous from the 1950s to the 1980s for his sketches, his participation in television and radio, his appearances in the cinema and dubbing, including of the character of Pollux with the accent "british" in "The magic carousel", Jacques Bodoin made his debut in 1945 with the “Companions of Music”. He was the dean of the songwriters, who brought a great modernity to the art of songwriting, "Jacques Mailhot, director of the Théâtre des Deux Ânes, told AFP.   Bodoin   had been a famous theater player until the 1980s. Bodoin was married to actress Micheline Dax who passed away in 2014 at the age of 90. Dax was the French voice of Calamity Jane in the 1971 French animated film “Lucky Luke: Daisy Town” while Jacques Bodoin was the French voice of Clem.
