Erdmute Schmidt was born on October 13, 1943 in Waren, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, Germany. Edmute married actor Norbert Christian sometime in the 1970s and began appearing in small roles as Erdmute Schmidt-Christian. After Chrstian’s death in 1976 she continued her acting career, usually on television until her last appearance as Henriette in the TV series ‘The Country Doctor’ (1990). Among her 30+ credits is one Euro-western “The Scout” (1982) where she played the role of Caroline.
