Little Known Spaghetti Western Actors ~ Ignacio Carreño

[These daily posts will cover little known actors or people that have appeared in more recent films and TV series. Various degrees of information that I was able to find will be given and anything that you can add would be appreciated.]


 Ignacio Miguel Carreño López was born in Llanes, Asturias, Spain in 1962. He is an assistant director, stunt coordinator, stuntman, film and TV actor.

He’s appeared in over 70 films and was Sylvester Stallone’s double in the Rambo film series. He belongs to a new generation of specialists and action coordinators. Ignacio is also concerned about the training of those who are starting out and creating his own style of performing stunts, in which he prioritizes above all the safety of the action to be carried out.

He has worked in international films shot outside Spain and is a member of the Screen Actors Guild, an association of specialists in the United States.

He has worked on such famous films as “Titanic”, “Rambo III”, “Total Recall”, “The Mummy”, “Indiana Jones III”, Conan the barbarian”, “Conan the Destroyer”, “The Legionary”, “Casanova”, “The Three Musketeers”, and “Two Tough Guys”.

Carreno has appeared in seven Spaghetti westerns including “El lobo negro” (The Black Wolf) 1981 [stunts], “Yellow Hair and the Fortress of Gold” 1984 [stunts], “Rustlers' Rhapsody” 1985 [also stunts], “Bianco Apache” White Apache” 1985 (Black Wolf), “Scalps” 1986 (Peter), “The New Zorro” (TV) 1990-1993 [stunt double for Duncan Regehr], “Dollar for the Dead” (TV) 1998 (Will’s friend) [stunts].
