Lida Lù was the stage name of Lidia Celaia. She was born in Bologna, Emilia Romagna, Italy in 1946. She began to perform in nightclubs and dance halls, after which, in 1965, she signed a recording contract with the Vedette label and debuted with the 45 rpm "Why not/If You Find Another". In the same year, she took part in the 2nd Festival delle Rose in Rome, where she performed Tical's motif "Senza niente". In 1966, she moved to the record label Vis Radio, recorded the 45 rpm "Libertà", after which she took part in the 14th Neapolitan Song Festival, where she proposed, in a beat key and in duet with the La Troupe group, the song "Comme faccio a te sunnà", and performed in combination with Mario Abbate. In the same year, she returned to the 3rd Festival delle Rose in Rome, performing, with Paolo Bracci, the motif "La volpe" by Del Prete, Massara, Colombini and Cerruti. In 1967,
Lù took part in Un Disco per l'Estate where she sang "I miei capelli biondi" by Gaspari and Lanati. The following year, she recorded the song "Clayton", which appeared on the last album published by Vis Radio.
