Little Known Spaghetti Western Actors ~ Murriz Brandariz

[These daily posts will cover little known actors or people that have appeared in more recent films and TV series. Various degrees of information that I was able to find will be given and anything that you can add would be appreciated.]

Murriz Brandariz is/was a memorable Spanish supporting and character actor of which there’s basically nothing know. I can nothing on the Internet about him other than a mention of some of the films he appeared in and some of the characters he played. Apparently, he worked in front of and behind the cameras as he was a production assistant, property master as well as an actor in films and television. He appeared in nearly 50 films and TV appearances between 1953 and 1976. He disappears after 1977. He often was credited under the alias Manuel Muñiz, Mark Mellot and most of all ‘Pajarito’.

All I can add is what Kevin Grant wrote in his 2011 book Any Gun Can Play – “This diminutive, quizzical looking Spanish supporting actor provided light relief in the “Ringo” films as the hero’s helper, and a handful ofother westerns.”

Add him to the list of grossly neglected Spanish actors of whom we should know more about.
