movies “Ride to Glory”, “Blade Rider”, “The Assassins” and “Broken Sabre” were
assembled and released in Belgium and Hong Kong, Italy, U.K. and elsewhere.
Only Blade Rider was released in North America on VHS

Jess” appears to be "The Mission" which kicked off a three part
storyline, the first episodes of ‘Branded’ to be shot in color, later
incorporated into a feature film for overseas distribution titled "Broken

I have NEVER heard that story before. But what I DO know is that back then it was a big deal to take a popular TV series and make films out of the episodes. For example, if you had an episode of "The A-Team" called "Bomb Squad" chances are THAT was made into a film. Or if you had an episode of "Gunsmoke" called "The Widowmaker" THAT was made into a film. Or if you had an episode of Laramie called "The Lucky Gunman" THAT was made into a film. And so on and so forth. So it wasn't uncommon for them to do that. But it WAS all the rage. They did this to capitalize on the success of the show. And then the ones that were planned but never made were a huge deal. But you have to remember that not every TV actor approved of this idea. For example, Clint Eastwood didn't appreciate the fact that Hollywood wanted to capitalize on his fame as Rowdy Yates by turning one of his episodes, "The Magnificent Stranger" into an actual Western film. He eventually sued and the film was never made. So you see there are pros and cons to doing all this. You just have to know when move forward and when to quit. Hopefully, they won't try THAT again. Because some things are better left alone.
