Venta Canicas is an old abandoned inn on the left side of
the road that leads to Gergal (which a few years ago was replaced by a modern
highway), about five kilometers west of Rancho Leone. It was used as a set in
the film "Duck You Sucker" (1971), in the sequence in which the
family of Juan Miranda (Rode Steiger) robs and assaults the stagecoach travelers.
Venta Canicas also appears briefly in the film "Blindman" (1971).
Today only the stable and the circular stone "area" remain of the
original building, the displays a characteristic element of Andalusian rustic
architecture that has become a real "topos" in Sergio Leone's films.
