An Italian look in the frame of the International
Brazilian Film Festival. On stage, at the Casa del Cinema, the documentary
"George Hilton-The world is bold", by Daniel Camargo, in memory of
the great interpreter of western titles. In the front row the blonde daughter
of the recently deceased actor, Georgia, in total black, with her mother Maria
Teresa Tarantini. Many reach the appointment with the Italian-Brazilian
co-production on one of the great protagonists of the Belpaese's popular
filmography, at a time when cowboys and mysterious assassins dueled on the big
screen for filmmakers of the caliber of Fellini, Pasolini, Antonioni and
Visconti. Here is part of the cast including Michele Massimo Tarantini, Sergio
Martino, in light green jacket, and Roberto Leoni. The director Ruggero Deodato
arrives. The lights go out to turn the spotlight on the actor: the film
illustrates a unique moment of Italian culture that has influenced the world of
celluloid. The documentary shows and gives voice to the personalities who lived
around the protagonist: Edwige Fenech, Lea Massari, Carroll Baker, Sandra Milo,
Salvo Randone, Franco Nero, Terence Hill but also Bud Spencer, Tomas Milian and
Enrico Maria Salerno.
