Ángel Pérez Aranda was born on
September 18, 1938 in Jaén, Andalucía, Spain. Aranda originally studied to be
an architect but was bitten by the acting bug when Italy and Hollywood started
filming in the nearby towns and deserts. Between 1955 and 1980 he appeared in
nearly 50 films and was seen in eight Euro-westerns between 1964’s “Bullets
Don’t Argue” and “Dallas” in 1974. During his television career he wrote some
of the teleplays for episodes of the series he would appear in. After appearing
as Carlos Medina in the Spanish TV series ‘Estudio1’ in 1980 he left the
business.
Aranda died in Spain on July 4, 2000.
Today we remember Ángel Aranda on what
would have been his 80th birthday.
