A replica of the church was constructed on a sound stage at the Estudios de Chamartin de la Rosa
Madrid was owned by Samuel Bronston
and was rented by the Mirisch Production Company for use on the interior
scenes. With the scenes filmed there being at night and with rain it was very
effective and edited into the rest of the film it worked very well.
