Battista ‘Nino’ Marchetti was born on February 21, 1909 in Udine,
Friuli-Venezio, Giulia, Italy. He sometimes
was credited as Giobatta Marchetti during his 50+ year career in which he
appeared in over 80 films and TV appearances. During his film career he was
also active as a voice actor and was named Honorary President of the
Cooperative Voice actors.
Nino appeared in three Euro-westerns: “God Will Forgive My Pistol” (1969), “Reverend Colt” (1970) and “Three Cheers for Us” (1974).
He was married to actress Celeste Almieri and passed away on September 2, 1983 in the city of his birth.
Today we remember Nino Marchetti on what would have been his 105th birthday.
