Boris Cavazza was born on
February 2, 1939 in Milan, Lombardy, Italy. Borisov 's father was Italian, his
mother Slovak. He moved to Slovenia in 1948. In 1956 he enrolled in the Naval
School in Piran and after four years of schooling to become an engineer he
graduated and from 1960 to 1963 worked first as an assistant and then as
engineer officer on ships of the merchant navy. A year later, he enrolled at the
Academy of Theatre in Ljubljana. Since 1971 he’s worked as a professional
actor, his acting career was launched on stage appearing in the Slovenian Youth
Theatre and he is considered one of the most important Slovenian actors. Boris
appeared in only one Euro-western “A Ride to Eden” (1971). In 1987, he received
Prešern Award and in 1992 the Borštnik Ring. Boris was the winner of a Viktor
Lifetime Achievement 2012
