Santana is a former Southerner who wants to avenge the death of his fellow soldiers among which is Jimmy Dublin which was caused by the betrayal of their commander, Frank Dawson. Dawson actually had a henchman do the killing. Santana takes the body of Dublin to the town of Springfield, the home of Jimmy’s sister Jessica. It turns out that Jessica’s father has also been murdered by unknown killers. Jessica’s boyfriend, Louis, turns out to be Frank Dawson, the man Santana is seeking and a member of a gang led by a woman who is a master of the whip. Louis is only marrying Jessica in order to obtain her ranch which contains a gold mine. Santana is helped by Thomas the black servant of Jessica. In a gun battle with the gang Thomas is killed, but in the battle the gang’s leader is killed by Louis. Santana kills Louis the traitor and avenges the death of Jimmy and his comrades.

Happy 80th Birthday Sieghardt Rupp

Sieghardt Rupp was born on June 14, 1931 in Bregernz, Germany. He attended the Commercial School in Vienna and trained at the Max-Reinhardt-Seminar. In 1954 he made his stage debut in Klagenfurt, Germany. He then appeared in Salzburg in 1956, The State Theatre in Linz in 1958 and the Bad Hersfeld Festival in 1959. He then became very busy when he joined the National Theatre of Vienna in 1959. About this same time1959, he started to appear in films with his debut in "Mädchen für die Mambo-Bar". With his deep voice and good looks he was well suited to play rogues and villains. He appeared in six Euro-westerns including "The Last Ride to Santa Cruz" (1963), "Frontier Hellcat" and "Fistful of Dollars (both 1964), "A Man Called Gringo" (1965), "Blood at Sundown" and "Who Killed Johnny R.?" (both 1966) . Rupp would go on to appear in over 70 films and become a regular on German television. He then returned to the theater in 1985 joining The Theatre in der Josefstadt company and made numerous tours of Germany. Today we celebrate Sieghardt Rupp’s 80^th birthday.

Who are Those Guys? - Per Barclay

Per Barclay’s real name was Erik Atberg and he was born on November 17, 1894 in Sweden. According to my friend, actor Dan van Husen, he was much older then the other members of the cast of "Doc" and was very nervous in front of the camera, but the directors he worked for liked his rugged looking face so he was used in westerns and other adventure films. Barclay appeared in six Euro-westerns always in supporting roles. Supposedly Per died somewhere and sometime in 1983.

Happy 80th Birthday Ingeborg Krabbe

Ingeborg Krabbe was born in Leipzig, Germany on June 13, 1931. In 1949 she attended the State Academy of Music and Performing Arts in Leipzig taking drama and singing lessons. Here she also made her stage debut in "Die Pfeffermühle". She then moved to East Berlin and continued to act on stage and began making film appearances in DEFA and DFF films. She also appeared on TV in the series "Tele-BZ". She was chosen several times as a TV favorite in polls conducted by newspapers and television. Ingeborg has appeared in everything from dramatic roles to comedy. She was a guest star on the popular "Police 110" as well as having roles on "Ein offenes Haus" and "Mit Herz und Robe" among her more then 300 TV appearances. In later years she has turned to radio and voice dubbing. In 2011 she toured in a stage adaptation of "Arsenic and Old Lace". Her only Euro-western appearance was in 1972's "Tecumseh" with Gojko Mitic. Today we celebrate Ingeborg Krabbe’s 80^th birthday.

RIP Paul Massie

In the 1960s, a young, strikingly handsome and phenomenally talented actor named Paul Massie was building a promising career in England. Born in St. Catherine’s Ontario, Canada on July 7, 1932, Massie moved to England where he starred in an acclaimed production of "Cat on a Hot Tim Roof" opposite Kim Stanley. That was followed by leading roles in respected films, with billings above such stars as Christopher Lee and Lillian Gish. He won a British Academy Award. Peter O'Toole and Richard Harris were his drinking buddies. But in 1966, he visited the fledgling University of South Florida to appear on stage as a guest artist. He stayed for 30 years as a professor in the USF theater department. Mr. Massie died Wednesday June 8, 2011 at his home in Nova Scotia, Canada. He was 79 and had suffered from lymphoma. Massie appeared as Hawkeye in the 1973 British TV mini-series "Hawkeye, The Pathfinder".

A ranch owner named Powers engages the Holy Spirit for the capture of an outlaw, known as Solitaire. The outlaw is stealing weapons and selling them to a Mexican revolutionary general. Holy Spirit is helped by five former companions in his adventures Diego d’Asburgo (a fake priest), the pirate Morgan, Boogers, Garibaldi and the Father (a former Anglican priest). The five arrive from Sicily in Springfield with two cousins of Garibaldi, who have the task of avenging the death of a relative. The two cousins are intertwined with those of the Holy Spirit, who comes to discover that Solitaire turns out to be Powers. He is later killed by his girlfriend, Elizabeth, absolving him of all crimes, but she also ends up being murdered.
