Who Are Those Gals? ~ Dina De Santis

 

Carlotta Provin was born in Viterbo, Italy on October 21, 1932, as a child De Santis won a beauty contest and at young age she started working for an advertising industry and on stage. She made her film debut in 1954 in the melodrama” Lacrime d'amore” directed by Pino Mercanti, who suggested her stage name of Dina De Santis. She appeared in 43 films from 1954 until 1967. She was very active in adventure films, Spaghetti Westerns, peplum and Eurospy films, and was sometimes credited as Dina De Saint. She retired from acting in the late 1960s after maying actor Lucio De Santis [1922-2006] in 1967. 

De Santis died in Rome on December 4, 1985, at the age of 53.
