Inaugurated in the Sperone district of Palermo, the ninth mural, the fourth created by the Creative Alliance Sperone167, signed by the Pioppese artist Nino Carlotta dedicated to Franco Franchi and Ciccio Ingrassia, icons of Sicilian comedy, ambassadors of Palermo and masters of film collaborations. The wall of a building in Viale Giuseppe Di Vittorio becomes the stage for the famous comic duo loved not only in Palermo but throughout Sicily, it has already captured the attention and appreciation of the inhabitants of the neighborhood.

A "social art" initiative that connects communities, transforming the neighborhood into places of reclamation for universal rights in two places denied to residents. Promoting inclusion, energy and awareness through creative and participatory expression. Strategically positioned between a football field now transformed into stony ground and the former Social Services Center, Carlotta's mural takes on a symbolic meaning and officially enriches the open-air museum on the outskirts of Palermo on the South Coast

A work in which the colors and the Sicilian POPolare culture are represented, which together with the many collateral activities carried out by various associations in the neighborhood in these and which we had told in a previous article, represented a strong call for attention and commitment to local institutions on two places in the area still denied to the community such as the Service Center and the sports field.

The mural was inaugurated yesterday, Sunday 19 November, with a large collective participation of the residents of the Sperone who animated and followed the initiatives of the final day, with an open-air talk with the participation and contributions of representatives of important educational, social and cultural realities of Palermo and followed by moments of music and entertainment in the evening to the delight of adults and children in the neighborhood, in a moment of exciting and joyful collective celebration.
