Little Known Spaghetti Western Actors ~ Penelope Allen

 [These daily posts will cover little known actors or people that have appeared in more recent films and TV series. Various degrees of information that I was able to find will be gven and anything that you can add would be appreciated.]

Penelope Allen, also known as Penny Allen was born on January 29, 1941 and is an American stage, film and television actress. Although primarily a theater actress, she is best known as the head bank teller being held hostage in the film “Dog Day Afternoon” (1975). She also played Annie, the wife of Francis Lionel "Lion" Delbuchi in the film “Scarecrow”. Speaghetti western fans will remember her for her portrayal of Mattie Earp in 1970’s “Doc” with Stacy Keach.

Allen is married to actor, acting coach Charles S. Laughton and they live in Santa Monica, California.
