The new book of Area51 Editions dedicated to Francisco Prosper, decorator, screenwriter, director and screenwriter is now on sale. With a career of more than 40 years in the cinematic world this Valencian artist who began in the failed workshops of his homeland, developed an extensive and multidisciplinary career in Spanish and international cinema. His work fundamentally developed in the field of decorating and model tricks although his love for cinema led him to a career in cinematic direction coming to direct a couple of full length and several shorts and some documentaries. He also wrote scripts and contributed to the production of various films. His work in stageography extended to theatre, television and advertising and other events. He also collaborated with his team in the restoration of national heritage monuments.
He worked in about four hundred films and his close collaboration with professionals such as Ray Harryhausen, Eugène Lourié, Gil Parrondo or Juan Piquer marked his career by becoming an expert in the use of perspective tricks with co models rips and painted. In this specialty he always counted on the collaboration of Emilio Ruiz del Rio.
With this monographic book we wanted to pay tribute to Prosper and all its workers, magnificent artisans who over decades lifted some of the most spectacular decorated in cinema history.
