Spaghetti Western Location ~ Uceda, Spain

Ucceda is a small town in the province of Guadalajara, whose territory is separated from that of Torremocha (in the province of Madrid) by the Rio Jarama. Between the river and the barren and steep hills that extend to the south there is a farm, called Finca El Soto, in which some westerns ere filme, for which a ranch was also built, which included five buildings, among which a two-story ranch house and stable with a high pitched roof, very similar to that of Triple X Ranch in Jackson Hole (Wyoming), used as a set in the film Jubal, 1956 and in some other westerns. The Finca El Soto farm is still active today: but the sets have disappeared.

It was seen in “Minnesota Clay” (1964) (as Antonio Casa's ranch); “Adios Gringo” (1965); “Hands of a Gunman” (1965); “$100,000 for Lassiter” (1966); “Son of Jesse James” (1965) (where it represents the Double Horse Ranch, owned by Dorothy / Mercedes Alonso, which has a central role in the story); “Django” (1966) (as the base  campo for the Mexican bandits in the night scene); “Navajo Joe” (1966); “Savage Gringo” (1966) (where it plays a large role in the film); :The Relentless Four” (1966); “Face to Face” (1967) (as Lydia Alfonsi's farm).
