Las Salinas is a very scenic location about two
kilometers south of the current Oasys/ Mini Hollywood. The highest part has a
steppe-like appearance, while the lower part is characterized as a very arid
environment, rich in salt outcroppings and suggestive rock formations. Some
sets were built here. In 1966, in the lower part, a Mexican type village was
built, used in large part by the film "The Ugly Ones" (1966);
"Sugar Colt" (1966); "Death Rides a Horse" (1967)
(represents the pueblo of El Viento); "Dynamite Joe" (1967);
"The Ruthless Four" (1968) and "Death Sentence (1968) (this set
is widely used in the episode with Richard Conte).
