We continue to our search for filming locations for the
1966 film “Navajo Joe”. The scene shifts from Dr. Lynne’s supposed ride for
help back to the Indian burial grounds. We see Estella, the Indian girl, emerge
from the shadows. Joe, who’s cleaning his rifle, asks her what she wants. She
explains she was sent by Dr. Lynne’s wife to ask him to save the gold once
again. Estella says that he will be paid whatever price he asks. He
contemplates this for a minute and agrees to do the job but tells Estella he’ll
need some dynamite.
The location of the Indian burial ground is outside of
Gaudix and is protected by a gate. One must seek permission to hike the exact
location.
