Happy 70th Birthday Vivi Bach
Vivianne ‘Vivi’ Bak was born on September 3, 1939, Copenhagen, Denmark the daughter of a baker. She was inspired as a child to become a singer and dancer. She studied to be a make-up artist but decided to devote her life to singing and joined a band and toured Denmark. In 1956 she made her first Danish film which caught the eye of German producers and from there began appearing in German and International films. Her singing career began with a duet with Rex Smith in 1960. Her most successful record was also a duet and a cover song of the 1964 American recording of “Hey Paula” with Gerhard Wendland called “Hey Vivi – Hey Gerhard”. It was her only recording to make the charts. She returned to film making and met Dietmar Schönherr whom she married in 1965. During the mid-‘60s she made two European westerns “Bullets Don’t Argue” with Rod Cameron in 1964 and as Betty Johnson in the 1964 musical “A Fistful of Songs”. Vivi continued to make films, TV appearances and recordings until retiring in 1976. She now devotes her time to painting, and illustrating children’s books. Today we celebrate her 70th birthday.

Eh, if she was born in 1937, she would have been 70 in 2007. I could be wrong, but I think you're off a tad. ;-)
ReplyDeleteThanks Sartana should be 1939, change made.
ReplyDeleteLiving with Dietmar Schönherr in Ibiza.
ReplyDeleteThat's why you keep me around, Tom.
ReplyDeleteYou got it amigo! ;)
ReplyDeleteI remember as a little boy the shows she did for the German TV-station ZDF around 69 or 70 with her husband Dietmar Schonherr! She was very beautiful then! Wonder how she looks now!
