We continue our search for film locations for “I Want Him Dead”. After Clayton leaves his sister Mercedes grave he slowly rides away and the film shifts to Jack Blood and Harry Gunn riding up to small adobe house. They fire a shot to announce their presence and a shot is fired back and a wave from one of the men at the house welcomes them as they slowly ride in. The two men are warmly welcomed by Berger and Duke Newton with hand shakes and hugs. Jack asks about another friend of the group named Allan but is told he had gotten into trouble with a sheriff and was on the run. They all make their way into the house.
The location of the small house is called Balsicas de Alfaro/Rioja and is located in Almería not far from Mini Hollywood/Oasys back in the hills and difficult to reach. Little remains but the crumbling walls. The location has been used in several Spaghetti westerns including, “Adios, Sabata.”, “Seven from Yexas”, “Tepepa”, “The Deserter” and “Chato’s Land”.
