German actress Ruth Maria Kubitschek died in Switzerland on
June 1st. She was 92. She was born in Komotau, Czechoslovakia on
August 2, 1931. At the end of World War II her family fled to Köthen. Ruth
Maria went to the Hochschule für Theater und Musik in Halle and then to the
Deutsches Theater-Institut in Weimar. Together with Götz Friedrich she had one
son. An artist, she exhibited her paintings after her last film appearance in
2013. Ruth-Maria was the German voice of Daliah Lavi in 1963’s “Apache’s Last Battle”.
