Karl Rune Bergman was born in Grums, Värmland, Sweden. Karl was a Swedish musician who was the bassist in the band Sven-Ingvars from 1958 to 1969. Bergman was a cousin of Sven-Ingvar's founder and drummer Sven Svärd. When Sven-Ingvars needed a bass player, Rune Bergman became a member of the group. It wasn't that he could play bass, but he danced well and had a sense of rhythm. He learned to play the bass and was part of Sven-Ingvar's first heyday in the 1960s.
Karl appeared in sixteen films and TV series between 1968 to 2012. Among which was one Euro-western “Under ditt parasol” (Under Your Parasol) in 1968 where he appeared as himself.
Rune died in Stockholm, Sweden on November 5, 2012, at the age of 75.
