These daily posts will cover little known actors or people that have appeared in more recent films and TV series. Various degrees of information that I was able to find will be gven and anything that you can add would be appreciated.
Antonio Alfonso was a Spanish actor and singer born in Concepción, Cartagenero, Murcia, Spain and who began his career on stage at the Teatro de Cámara y Ensayo Isidoro Máiquez. He then gained recognition for his participation on the Barcelona based TV series ‘Escala en Hi Fi’ directed by Fernando García de la Vega. The show was a Spanish version of the American television series “Your Hit Parade” where actors and singers interpreted the songs that were successful at that time, although it was not they who sang, but put the interpretation and moved their mouths, in what was later called 'play-back' or lip sync. After the TV series ended in 1966 Antonio moved on to a film career of 20 films and television appearances from 1968 to 1992. What happened to him after that is unknown.
Alfonso appeared in only one Spaghetti western in an uncredited role in 1968’s “Gatling Gun” with John Ireland and Robert Woods.
