In the Bad Segeberger mountain hall, Oldesloer Straße, Friday and Saturday a Karl May Exchange with pictures, books, posters and medals is offered.

This will certainly not only be of great interest to the absolute Karl May fans, but also to Segeberger, who occasionally deals with Old Shatterhand and his blood brothers on the occasion of the Karl May Games: in the Antiquariat Berghalle, Oldesloer Straße 71, Karl May researcher Ekkehard Bartsch and collector Hans Werner Baurycza present a large Karl May collector's market on Friday November 16, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. and on the following Saturday from 10 a.m to 8 p.m.

It is fair to say that expert Bartsch knows almost everything about Karl May and his books. Accordingly, he also has a large collection of historical materials on the subject. Much of it will be presented on the stock market. But in addition “very new books” from the Karl-May-Verlag have now arrived, reports Baurycza. So now lies a biography of Winnetou actor Pierre Brice from his wife Hella.

"Collectors have registered from all over northern Germany", reports Baurycza to the LN. But even for the Bad Segeberger it might be interesting to rediscover a long-forgotten book from 1962 on the then Karl May games. Rarities, photos, old program books, medals and many other things from the Karl May Archive are also on offer.

Even historian and collector Hans-Werner Baurycza himself offers a lot about the travel writer Karl May. He himself would like to concentrate more on his history as a collector from Bad Segeberg. A special rarity is a drawing folder of the well-known painter Sascha Schneider from Saxony, who drew cover pictures of the famous Karl May books around 1903.
