Nestor Cavaricci was born on May 11, 1924 in
Steubenville, Ohio. Being of Italian decent his family moved to Rome when
Nestor was 3. Later he returned to Ohio after marrying Verusca Zangoli in 1948,
and having two daughters. He moved back to Rome in 1960, leaving his family in
America. He became a character actor specializing in playing police officers.
Nestor appeared in over 30 films among which were eleven Euro-westerns from
“Wanted” (1967) with Giuliano Gemma to “We Are No Angels” (1975). Nestor died
in Rome on June 29, 1991. His most famous role was as Agente Quagliozzi in the
long-running fotoromanzi serial Le
avventure di Jacques Douglas.
