Spaghetti Western Locations

We continue to our search for filming locations for the 1966 film “Navajo Joe”. After the death of Geraldine we hear a whistle from the train which Joe is bringing into the Esperanza station. The banker Blackwood unlocks the cage door protecting the vault opens the safe and tells the other citizens it’s all there. They then find out the telegraph line has been cut and now believe what Joe has told them about Duncan and all his men would be coming to get their hands on the money. The parson states that Esperanza is a peaceful community and that there isn’t a gun in town. The citizens are at the mercy of Duncan and his gang. Joe offers to help and demands a dollar a head from every citizen for every bandit he kills plus the bounty for Duncan and his brother. Doctor Lynne puts a stop to the proposal telling the towns people not to trust him. Joe mounts his horse and tells the people someone in town helped Duncan steal the train and that he’s working with him. He warns that he betrayed them once and he could do it again. He then rides off. Dr. Lynne tells the men to defend the train and he will ride to Wellington for help.

The scene takes place near Gaudix at the undiscovered train station location.
