A singing quartet is mistaken for a gang of outlaws as they roam across the West.

“Do Not Sing, Shoot” was a musical comedy with Quartetto Cetra for Italian television shown in 7 episodes (they were provided 8, but the sixth and seventh were merged) written by Giovanni Giacobetti with a teleplay by Leo Chiosso, directed by Daniele D'Anza , transmitted from May 4 to June 22 1968 .

The filming was done almost all outdoors and lasted six months, from August 1967 to January 1968.

The play is a mix of western, Italian westerns, musicals and comedy: there is the mysterious stranger, the belle of the saloon, the Indians, the cavalry and the sinister owner of the casino.
