RIP Perrette Pradier



Voice actress Perrette Pradier has died

The actress Perrette Pradier died of a heart attack during the night from Tuesday to Wednesday January 16th at the age of 75 years, it was announced Wednesday by her son Stephane Saint-Raymond.

She had undergone surgery for an aneurysm a month ago and died of a heart attack at her home during convalescence in Rueil-Malmaison, Hauts-de-Seine, France, said Mr. Saint-Raymond.

A French starlet of the 1960s, whose real name was Perrette Marie Mathilde Chevau was born April 17, 1938 in Hanoi, Vietnam. She appeared in thirty films but was best known for being one of the great French ladies of dubbing.

She lent her voice to such actresses as Ms. Medusa in “The Adventurers” (1977), an animated film from Disney, Julie Andrews in “Victor Victoria” (1982), a British-American musical directed by Blake Edwards and Kate Jackson in the American TV series “Charlie's Angels” (1976-1981) and “The Scarecrow and Mrs. King” (1983-1987). Perrette was the French voice of Ma Dalton in the Lucky Luke cartoon film "Escape from Grumble Gulch" (1983) and the Lucky Luke animated TV series "Lucky Luke" (1984-1992)

She was the mother of actress Vanina Pradier, daughter of actor Michel Bedetti
