Robert Carricart was born on January 18, 1917 in Bordeaux, France. Although born in France he moved to the United States and became a stage actor appearing on Broadway in “Anthony and Cleopatra” (1947). He then turned to television and by the mid-1950’s he had left the stage and continued his career making more than 105 films and TV appearances. During his career he appeared in 26 westerns but only two Euro-westerns; “Villa Rides” (1968) as Don Luis and “Land Raiders” (1969) as Julio Rojas. His last film appearance was as Grandfather Domingo in “Eternity” (1990). Carricart died on March 3, 1993 in Los Angeles, California. Today we remember Robert Carricart on what would have been his 95th birthday.
