Who Are Those Guys? - Andrea Aureli
Andrea Aureli was born on March 5, 1923 in Terni, Italy. He was awarded a scholarship for acting and began courses at Centro Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia. Before this he had studied law. His work included papers written on Paisà and Intolerance with his ambition being. “I want Italian film to be directed towards a new and true goal: the spiritual education of the masses.” Aureli graduated in 1947 and with these ambitions started his film career with an appearance in “L'ebreo errante” directed by Goffredo Alessandrini in 1948. He began to hit his stride in the 1950s and became a favorite of Carlo Ludovico Bragagli with whom he made some 20 films. He also worked regularly with director Mario Bava. His career took him into action and adventure films, westerns and horror. He was one of the most used character actors until his last TV appearance in 1998's Italian mini-series “La donna del treno”. During his acting career he racked up more than 130 films and TV appearances. Among them were thirteen Euro-westerns where he was often billed as Andrew Ray.
