Tanya Lopert has rubbed shoulders with the greatest actors, from Marlon Brando to Gérard Depardieu, Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor, and shot with the greatest directors, from Fellini to Polanski. At 80, she looks back on her career as a "failed" actress, she who waited all her life, in vain, for the great role that would make her a star.

The memoirs of a failed.

Tanya Lopert experienced the golden age of Hollywood, that legendary time when anything was possible, when young girls could be spotted while eating ice cream or by a pool. But, despite an impressive filmography, she waited all her life in vain for the great role that would make her a star, like all those she has met and of which she reveals countless anecdotes from New York to Paris, via Rome. Because no other actress has, to date, known Marlon Brando, Elizabeth Taylor, Marilyn Monroe, Burt Reynolds, Jane Fonda and Romy Schneider, Woody Allen, Jean-Louis Trintignant, Gérard Depardieu, or the Montand-Signoret couple.

This "failed actress" takes us into an unforgiving world where dreams are often shattered.
