I’m an American actor born in San Bernardino, California in 1931.

 
Although I appeared in almost 100 films and TV appearances I made only one Euro-western.
 
Now retired from acting, I’m now a fiction writer.

Horatio/Amen has come to town to visit an old name Smith, his former partner in crime. Smith is the local priest and blacksmith. He once stole $5,000 from Horatio, who now wants it back, but unfortunately, Smith used the money to serve God by promisin a dying priest to take over his position and to build a church. Smith spent all Horatio´s money to build the church. An exceptional safecracker Smith is talked into joining up with Horatio to rob a strongbox containing half a million dollars. They put together a gang comprised of a senile old man, a bartender and, yes, and the old man’s grandson
 
Every member of a gang has a specific role among which is double-crossing each other. It all leads to one big brawl, in which Smith makes his way through a saloon full of customers, who he dispenses with pretty easily. During the brawl a schoolmistress makes off with the money.

Remembering Peter Lee Lawrence

Peter Lee Lawrence was born Karl Hyrenbach on February 21, 1944 on Lindau Island, Bodensee, Bavaria, Germany. Karl had three sisters and two brothers. He lived in Nice, France for several years with his mother and then moved to Rome, Italy with his wife and Karl [1965- ]. He was also cast in photo novels under the name Pierre Clément.

 
He started his film career as the brother-in-law of Lee Van Cleef in “For a Few Dollars More”. He went on to star in 16 more Spaghetti Westerns from 1967 to 1973. He was also credited in several of these films as Arthur Grant. Some of these films were huge hits in Europe including “Killer Caliber .32” (1967), “Days of Violence” (1967), “The Fury of Johnny Kid” (1967), “A Few Bullets More” (1967), and “Killer Adios” (1968). He was a particularly popular actor in Cuba.
 
He married actress Cristina Galbó [1950- ] in 1969 and the two appeared in several films together and had a son named David in 1970.
 
In 1972 Lawrence began suffering from headaches. Once filming finished on “Los Caballeros del Botón de Ancla” in 1974, he was admitted to the Foundation Jimenez Diaz Hospital in Madrid, where he was operated on by Dr. Sixto Obrador. The surgery was a success, but the biopsy report revealed it was glioblastoma. He moved to Zurich, where, under the auspices of Professor Wolfgang Horst, he began both chemo and radium treatment. On the 25th of March 1974, Lawrence was admitted to the Villa Stuart Clinic in Rome with severe stomach pains. He died on Saturday, April 20, 1974, at ten past three in the morning. Rumor has persisted for years that because of the brain tumor he had committed suicide but this is false and his death in the Rome hospital has been confirmed by his wife Cristina Galbó and his son by his first marriage Karl Baudoin.
 
In all Peter appeared in over 25 film, 17 of which were Euro-westerns in his short nine year film career. He rose to be one of the major stars of the Spaghetti western genre and is remembered with great fondness by many fans throughout the world. Today would have been his 70^th birthday.

Remembering Nino Marchetti

Giovan Battista ‘Nino’ Marchetti was born on February 21, 1909 in Udine, Friuli-Venezio, Giulia, Italy. He sometimes was credited as Giobatta Marchetti during his 50+ year career in which he appeared in over 80 films and TV appearances. During his film career he was also active as a voice actor and was named Honorary President of the Cooperative Voice actors.

 
Nino appeared in three Euro-westerns: “God Will Forgive My Pistol” (1969), “Reverend Colt” (1970) and “Three Cheers for Us” (1974).
 
He was married to actress Celeste Almieri and passed away on September 2, 1983 in the city of his birth.
 
Today we remember Nino Marchetti on what would have been his 105^th birthday.

Who Are Those Guys? - Anthony Bishop

Anthony Bishop was born on September 29, 1971 in South Africa. He’s best known for his starring role as Prospero Brand in the M-Net Original Productions drama series ‘Jacob's Cross’, from 2007-2012. He also starred as Michael in the SABC3 drama series ‘Shado's’. He had a recurring role in the medical series ‘Hillside’, was a series regular in ‘Homelands’ and played a guest role in ‘The Adventures of Sinbad’, a Canadian series which was filmed in Ontario and Cape Town, South Africa.

 
Bishop’s film credits include roles in “Someone To Watch Over Me” (1987), “Operation Delta Force 5: Random Fire” (1999), “Merlin: The Return” (1999), “Styx” (2001), “Beserker” (2001) and “Askari” (2001) and his only Euro-western “Hooded Angels” (2000) appearing as a member of the militia.
 
In theatre, Bishop has had roles such plays as “Complete Works Of William Shakespeare”, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, “'Tis A Pity She’s A Whore”, “Phaedra” and “The Tempest”.
 
He played the role of villainous Boy Bailey in the SABC2 mini-series “Land of Thirst”, from January to February 2008. Lately he’s turned his talents to voice acting and can be heard on “Jock the Hero Dog” (2011) as George.

Rememberig Heinz Erhardt

Heinz Erhardt was born on February 20, 1909 in Riga, Russia. The son of Baltic German Kapellmeister Gustl Erhardt. He lived most of his childhood at his grandparents in Riga, where his grandfather, Paul Nelder, owned a music store. His grandfather also taught him how to play the piano.

 
After World War I, his father immigrated to Germany. Erhardt lived with his stepmother in Wennigsen near Hanover, where he attended school, until in 1924 he returned to Riga. From 1926 he studied at the Leipzig conservatory; however, Erhardt's wish to become a professional pianist was not supported by his grandparents who wanted him to work as a merchant. In 1935, Erhardt married Gilda Zanetti [1913-1987], daughter of the Italian consul in Saint Petersburg. They had four children: Grit [1936- ], Verena [1940- ], Gero [1943- ], and Marita [1944- ]. Gero Erhardt became a film director and cinematographer, and his grandson, Marek Erhardt [1969- ], became an actor.
 
While working at his grandfather's business, Erhardt entered the stage as a cabaret artist in several Riga coffee houses, and in 1937 even appeared on German RRG radio. The next year, Erhardt moved to Berlin, where he performed on a Kabarett stage on Kurfürstendammm. The spectacle wearer and non-swimmer Erhardt was drafted into the German Kriegsmarine navy during World War II, but only on the third call-up; he served as a pianist in the Marine orchestra and only handled weapons during his basic training.
 
After the Second World War he moved to Hamburg-Wellingsbüttel and from 1948 worked as a radio presenter at the public NWDR radio station. From then on he became more and more famous for his countless pun poems. Also, he became a popular film actor and a mime. In his films he always played a character that fit his stage persona as an entertainer and comedian. His roles were polite and slightly weird persons typical of the West German Wirtschaftswunder ("economic miracle") era of the 1950s and 1960s. He appeared in two Euro-westerns during this time: “Legacy of the Incas” as Professor Morgenstern and “Rampage at Apache Wells” as Kantor Aurelius Hampel (both 1965).
 
Heinz Erhardt suffered a stroke in 1971, which left him unable to speak or write. He was limited to reading and understanding the speech of others; these limitations ended his long career as an actor.
 
He was awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany (Bundesverdienstkreuz) four days before his death on June 5, 1979 in Hamburg, Germany from a heart attack.
 
Today we remember Heinz Erhardt on what would have been his 105^th birthday.

Trinity, a lazy gunslinger arrives in a village where he is surprised to find his brother, in the unusual guise of sheriff. In fact Bambino, who is a horse thief, has accepted the position to be able to pull off a theft with impunity to the detriment of a wealthy horse owner. But, the two brothers find themselves defending the Mormon community against the arrogance of Harrison and a gang of Mexican outlaws.
