Little Known Spaghetti Western actors ~ Joaquin Diaz

[These daily posts will cover little known actors or people that have appeared in more recent films and TV series. Various degrees of information that I was able to find will be given and anything that you can add would be appreciated.]

Joaquin Díaz Muntané was born in Barcelona, Spain on August 26, 1930. He was a Spanish actor and voice dubber. Joaquin appeared in thirty-one films as an actor and over two thousand films as a voice actor and dubber.

He appeared as a supporting actor or as a voice actor in films such as El último verano (1961) by Juan Bosch y Palau, Las estrellas (1962) and Un demonio con ángel (1963) by Miguel Lluch Suñé, La dama de Beirut (1965) by Ladislao Vajda, La armada Brancaleone (1966) by Mario Monicelli and La ciudad de los prodigios (1999) by Mario Camus.

Diaz participated in more than 2000 dubbing roles. Over time he has also been considered one of the pioneers in the work of dubbing films and television series in Catalan (among others, he participated in that of ‘Fawlty Towers’). He was the Spanish voice of such actors as Jack Lemmon, Telly Savalas, Peter Ustinov, Alberto Sordi, Peter Boyle, Charles Durning, Ian Holm, Ned Beatty, Danny De Vito and Rod Steiger.
