Anton Straßmair was born in Murnau am Staffelsee, Bavaria, Germany on January 1, 1932. He was an actor and assistant director, known for “Thirteen Days to Die” (1965), “Holiday in St. Tropez” (1964) and “Wir wollen niemals auseinandergehen” (1960). He appeared in two dozen films and television appearances between 1956 and 1969 using the stage name Thomas Adler. He was also an assistant director on two TV films in 1962 and 1967.
Adler was married to Ulla Desch and they had two children. Overcome with personal or other problems he could not face, he committed suicide by gas on May 6, 1968 in Munich at the age of 36.
Adlers only Euro-western was as Erik Brendel in 1964’s “Die Goldsucher von Arkansas” (Massacre at Marble City).
