Veteran Spanish director, writer Mariano Ozores died in
Madrid on May 20th he was 99. Born Mariano Ozores Puchol in Madrid
on October 5, 1926, he was a Spanish film director and screenwriter. Ozores was
a prolific specialist in sex comedy films and Francoist comedy. He is the brother
of actor José Luis Ozores [1923-1968], director Mariano Ozores, Jr.
[1926-2025], actor Antonio Ozores [1928–2010], uncle of actress Adriana Ozores
[1959- ] and mother of writer, singer
Emma Ozores (Emma Luisa Ozores Ruiz) [1961-
]. Mariano directed and wrote the screenplay for one Spaghetti western
1985’s “Al este del Oeste” starring Fernando Esteso, Conrado San Martín and his
brother Antonio Ozores.
