[These daily posts will cover little known actors or people that have appeared in more recent films and TV series. Various degrees of information that I was able to find will be given and anything that you can add would be appreciated.]
Jon Chevron was born Paul Flynn in 1934 in San Bernadino, California and graduated from San Bernadino High School in 1951. He was employed at Norton Air Force Base from 1952-57. His acting career is rather curious and inconsistent. He has at least 7 known or rumored appearances in American films and TV shows between 1959-62.
Chevron next shows up in Italy in 1962, where he stayed for a few years appearing in a handful of peplums. From newspaper articles he went there to appear in a film titled “Iron Men” which was never made but wound up staying after landing a role in “Cleopatra”.
In 1966 he was back in the U.S., before returning to Italy for 2 further roles in 1969 and 1972. In 1973 he showed up in “Shaft in Africa”, a U.S. production shot in Spain and on location in Africa, then he was back in the U.S. for one final TV appearance in 1976. Chevron then disappeared off the radar until news appeared of his death on February 22, 2021.
Jon appeared in two Spaghetti westerns: “Sansone e il Tesoro degli Incas” (Lost Treasure of the Aztecs) in 1964 as a school helper and “Franco e Ciccio sentiero di Guerra” (Paths of War) in 1969 in an uncredited role.

Hello Tom, Isn t John Chevron playng a servant named Sam at Ferguson s table in the film Requiescant 1966? Let s also talk about the guests at Ferguson s party. One of them is Attilio Pellegatti whose date of birth i can t find. Another is Fulvio Mingozzi born in 1925. There s also Renato Niccolai born in 1924 and died in 1983. Two more are not named in the credits. Ithink it s Franco Pechini. And there s another fifth actor named Herman at the table with the watches and later laughing in the shooting range hugging a machine gun. Maybe Tom knows who he is, when he was born?
ReplyDeleteI believe you are correct about Chevron playing Sam, so I've added him to the cast. You are also correct on the Ferguson's guests. I do not have birth or death date for Pellegatti. Mingozzi was born in 1925 as you mentioned he died on 9/19/2000. I have no character named Herman in my cast list so I'm of no help there. Best, Tom
