Nicola Balini is/was an Italian actor and stuntman. He was born in Ostia, Rome, Italy and became a professional diver. He appeared in five films from the mid-late 1960s. Two as an assistant director, two as a stuntman and one as technical advisor.
His only Spaghetti western was in 1967’s “Ballata per un pistolero” (Ballad of a Gunman) starring Anthony Gidra where he has an uncredited role and is credited as an assistant director.
Telemare 54 was a television station started by the five Balini brothers and actor Pupo de Luca in Ostia. Nicola became the station’s production manager. In 1979 the station went bankrupt, and the Balini brothers sold it to Giovanni Del Piano, in 1982 the station changed its name and became 54 MTV Canale 7 (54 Mare Tv), it offered films, TV series, cartoons and small self-produced programs. Vittorio Balini will later sell the rights to’ Dallas’, ‘Dynasty’ and other American TV series and films to Silvio Berlusconi.
