These daily posts will cover little known actors or people that have appeared in more recent films and TV series. Various degrees of information that I was able to find will be gven and anything that you can add would be appreciated.
Aina Alfredson was born in Nöbbele, Sweden on June 13, 1923. She appeared in only two films, one of which was as Marta in the 1970 Euro-western “The Emigrants”. She was a Swedish peasant who played Karl Oskar’s mother in the film. She was hired because she lived a simple country life and taught the other actors and actresses her lifestyle such as how to knit, how to herd the cows and how to milk them. She taught the women how to make bread and other farm chores. She also supplied household goods from her attic to use as props in the film. Her daughters Anna-Carin played Little Martha when she was small and her other daughter Zarah Lena played her when she was older. Martha passed away at the age of 94 on September 28, 2017.
