Little Known Spaghetti Western Actors ~ Süheyl Eğriboz

[These daily posts will cover little known actors or people that have appeared in more recent films and TV series. Various degrees of information that I was able to find will be given and anything that you can add would be appreciated.]

Süheyl Eğriboz was born in Gönen, Balikesir, Turkey on June 25, 1927. He studied at Pertevniyal High School for a while. He entered the cinema in 1940 by starring in the movie “Akasya Palas”. For a while, he appeared on stage at Muammer Karaca and Ses Theater. Later, he left the theater and continued his film acting. In the following years, he took roles in photonovels and TV series as well as cinema. He was known for his villain roles. He starred in nearly 400 films in “Yeşilçam” where hhe has the title of the 8th actor.

In the movie “Hazrat Omar's Justice”, shot in 1971, he was injured as a result of the attack of 3-4 people with sticks during the Ramadan Feast because he killed Omar bin Khattab as part of his role, and 18 stitches were placed on his head.

Süheyl died from a brain aneurism on January 10, 2014, at the age of 87.

Süheyl Eğriboz appeared in one Spaghetti western, “Küçük Kovboy” (Cowboy Kid) as a henchman in 1972.
