A month after the end of the previous series, the Cine-avventure series, losing its hyphen, resumes publication with one vertical and two horizontal issues featuring the adventures of Il figlio di Tom Mix (The Son of Tom Mix) (FTM), written by Gabriella Monisi with art by Alberto Traini and Andrea Da Passano. Starting with issue #4, the even smaller-format issues feature only the adventures of the young Saetta (SA), written by Diego Belarni with art by Giuseppe Perego. The character is inspired by the eponymous strongman brought to the screen by Domenico Gambetta, aka Saetta, actor, director, and co-founder of Saetta Film in 1920. The appendix includes the extraordinary adventures of the Black Devil, the Masked Pilot, comical stories by Ever Bongrani, and tales by Monisi herself and Sandro Cassone. Two years later, the Gambino character will inspire a new Saetta featured in Le piu belel avventure by Edizioni Alpe.

Beginning with issue #18, the series is also referred to as the Albo dei bambini (The Children’s album).

The comic book series was published in 1939 with issue #1 being released on March 25^th and ended with issue #20 on October 21, 1939. The comic book was published by EDT in Milan, Italy under editor in chief Enrico Berlenda. Each issue contained 10-20 black and white pages with color covers.
