We start a new search for the film locations for “The
Relentless Four” starring Adam West as Ranger Sam Garrett and Robert Hundar as
Alan/Lobo. The film opens with Ranger Garrett trailing two men who are on foot across
a Southwestern desert. He hears gunshots and rides on ahead only to discover
one of the men he was tracking Rex Calhoun shot and killed by four bounty
killers. Garrett tells Alan the leader of the men that Calhoun is no longer
wanted and there is no longer a reward on his head. The men carry off the body
anyway hoping to make it to town before Garrett can alert the local sheriff of
the situation. In order to give themselves an advantage they kill Sam’s horse
and he and Rex’s brother Bob are forced to hoof it on foot. Alan and the other
three men make it to town ahead of the Ranger and collect the reward. Before
they can leave the Sheriff Luke’s office Sam and Bob arrive and take the reward
back showing Luke the letter retracting the reward and proving Rex was innocent
of the crime he was accused of. Alan tells Garrett they will meet again someday
soon and things will be different.
